Job Summary
As a full-time remote Recertification Claims Specialist, the successful candidate will manage Long-Term Disability claims by reviewing approved claims for changes in definition, collaborating with medical professionals, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding Long-Term Disability claims
- Collaborate with case managers and consulting physicians to make timely and ethical claim determinations
- Review complex medical records and leverage various tools to plan future actions throughout the claim's lifecycle
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, or a minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience
- 3-5 years of long-term disability claims experience directly related to the role's responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
