Job Summary
To support a reputable healthcare organization, the North Carolina Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will engage Medicare members, pharmacies, and providers to close adherence and Statin Use in Persons with Diabetes gaps while working remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) with Medicare members and provide counseling regarding medications
- Collaborate with pharmacies and providers to address medication adherence issues and close SUPD gaps
- Review prior authorization requests and provide clinical guidance while ensuring compliance with pharmacy practices
Required qualifications
- Active North Carolina pharmacist license
- Experience in conducting medication reviews and managing adherence programs
- Knowledge of drug coding and NCPDP claims adjudication systems
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes and pharmacy benefit design
- Ability to provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and quality specialists
