Job Summary
Engaging Medicare members and collaborating with pharmacies and providers, the North Carolina Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will work remotely on a contract basis to conduct Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) and address medication adherence gaps.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) with Medicare members to enhance their understanding of medications and health
- Partner with pharmacies and providers to close adherence gaps and assist unengaged Medicare members
- Review prior authorization requests and provide clinical guidance to Pharmacy Quality Specialists and pharmacy technicians
Required qualifications
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist license
- Experience with Medicare member outreach and medication adherence initiatives
- Knowledge of drug coding (NDC, GCN, GPI, USC) and NCPDP claims adjudication systems
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes and pharmacy benefit design
- Ability to evaluate quality controls and implement performance improvement opportunities in pharmacy practices
