Job Summary

To enhance medication adherence for Medicare members, the remote contract Clinical Pharmacist will engage with members, pharmacies, and providers, conduct Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs), and provide clinical guidance while ensuring compliance with pharmacy practices.

Key responsibilities
  • Engage Medicare members to assist in closing adherence gaps and complete Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs)
  • Collaborate with pharmacies and providers to address medication adherence issues and provide counseling to members
  • Review prior authorization requests and ensure compliance with pharmacy benefit design and quality controls
Required qualifications
  • North Carolina Licensed Clinical Pharmacist
  • Experience with Medicare member engagement and medication management
  • Knowledge of drug coding and NCPDP claims adjudication systems
  • Familiarity with prior authorization processes and pharmacy benefit design
  • Ability to provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and quality specialists
