Job Summary
To support a healthcare and pharmacy benefits organization, the fully remote North Carolina Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will conduct clinical evaluations, analyze utilization management activities, and provide clinical support within a fast-paced managed care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct clinical evaluations of prior authorization and exception requests using established benefit design requirements
- Analyze utilization management activity and prepare reports for compliance monitoring and organizational oversight
- Provide day-to-day clinical support and expertise to pharmacy technicians involved in authorization workflows
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, PharmD, or other advanced healthcare-related discipline
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managed care, prior authorization review, or utilization management
- Familiarity with pharmacy coding and classification systems, including NDC, GCN, GPI, and USC
- Strong analytical and clinical decision-making abilities
