Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives within the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain compliance programs, educate providers on regulations, and conduct internal audits, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain compliance programs to reduce legal and financial risks
- Educate providers on compliance with government regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
- Conduct routine internal audits and collaborate with clinical staff to enhance documentation and coding practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Four years of administrative experience in compliance, coding, and auditing related to revenue cycle functions
- Two years of experience with DRG's and APR-DRG's for technical coding roles
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required; CPC or CPMA preferred
- Experience in formal teaching of coding is preferred
