Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives within the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and educate providers on government regulations, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain compliance programs in accordance with government regulations and internal policies
- Conduct routine internal audits of provider documentation and collaborate with staff to enhance compliance capabilities
- Educate providers on compliance issues, particularly regarding Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Four years of administrative experience in compliance, coding, and auditing related to revenue cycle functions
- Two years of experience with DRGs and APR-DRGs for technical coding roles
- Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPMA is required
- Experience in formal teaching of coding is preferred
