Job Summary

To support patient care at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC, a full-time Clinical Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, educate patients on nutrition for various conditions, and collaborate with healthcare teams, with opportunities for some remote hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) across a variety of inpatient units
• Educate patients on nutrition therapy for acute and chronic conditions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer chart audits

Required qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credential and state licensure (LDN) in NC or Provisional NC Licensure
• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND
• Eligibility for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credentials by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Ability to work with minimal oversight in collaboration with healthcare staff
