Job Summary

Leading innovative clean energy projects, the North Carolina Licensed Electrical Engineer will work remotely on a contract basis, focusing on high-voltage outdoor substation design and ensuring compliance with North American standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the physical layout and design of primary high-voltage outdoor substations, including plan and elevation drawings
  • Produce and verify detailed electrical design packages, including single-line diagrams and control building layouts
  • Conduct rigorous technical reviews and validate electrical designs, ensuring PE sealing for compliance and safety
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 7 to 20 years of experience in T&D physical substation design
  • In-depth knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC standards, and local Grid Codes
  • Experience with high-voltage electrical design and safety protocols
