Job Summary
Leading a global team, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Intellectual Property Counsel will manage SEP portfolios, oversee outside counsel, and develop technical claim charts while ensuring compliance with patent laws and standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global researchers to enhance SEP portfolios in cellular and Wi-Fi standards
- Lead and develop a team of SEP Portfolio Managers and Paralegals, ensuring effective execution of workflows
- Manage the review of patent drafts and strategies prepared by outside counsel
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, or related fields
- Patent Agent/Attorney Qualification in the US, China, or Europe, with knowledge of PCT/WIPO and patent law
- 10+ years of experience in patent preparation, filing, and prosecution, preferably in a global technology company
- Proven experience in people management, including talent development and team leadership
- Strong understanding of 3GPP and Wi-Fi technologies and patenting practices
