Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder II - Physician Rev Cycle Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10 and CPT codes, ensuring compliance with coding regulations and analyzing information for optimal reimbursement
• Provides guidance to healthcare staff on coding practices and updates regarding regulations
• Reviews and abstracts provider documentation, clarifying missing information as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the UNC HCS SS Rev Cycle Physician Coder Proficiency Test
• Successful completion of the UNCH Coder Proficiency Test
• 2 years of physician medical coding experience
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required
