Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder II - Physician Rev Cycle Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assigns ICD-10 and CPT codes, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimal reimbursement
• Provides coding information to healthcare staff regarding current practices and regulatory changes
• Reviews and abstracts provider documentation, obtaining missing information as necessary

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED
• Successful completion of the UNC HCS SS Rev Cycle Physician Coder Proficiency Test
• Successful completion of the UNCH Coder Proficiency Test
• Must have AAPC or AHIMA certification
• 2 years of physician medical coding experience
