Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder II-Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and accurately code complex medical records using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and/or CPT coding conventions
  • Coordinate and review the work of designated employees, ensuring quality and quantity of work through regular audits
  • Consult with and educate physicians on coding practices, and maintain a thorough understanding of medical record practices and standards


Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Must hold one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or HCS-D
  • CCS certification requires one year of coding experience
  • CPC or HCS-D certification requires two years of coding experience
  • No experience is required for RHIA or RHIT certifications
