Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare division, the part-time contract Medical Director will utilize their clinical expertise to manage claims processes, respond to inquiries, and drive strategic healthcare initiatives while working remotely from North Carolina.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and resolve moderate to complex claims payments and inquiries from various stakeholders
- Develop and implement strategies for healthcare programs and operational improvements
- Evaluate clinical data to identify opportunities for enhancing health outcomes and financial performance
Required qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school with completion of residency training
- Current and active North Carolina medical license
- Board certification in an ABMS/AOA recognized clinical specialty
- 7+ years of experience in a related field, including some non-clinical experience
- Strong leadership and strategic partnership development skills
