Job Summary

To advance clean nuclear energy, the contract Nuclear Engineer will work remotely in Wilmington, North Carolina, focusing on reviewing and validating human-system interfaces, supporting the development of operating procedures, and analyzing complex plant control requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review, test, and validate human-system interfaces using simulators and comprehensive operating procedures
• Support the creation of high-quality operating procedures and robust operator training programs
• Analyze complex requirements for plant control and integrate design specifications into detailed engineering documents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Active RO license
• 5+ years of experience in reactor operations and human factors engineering (HFE)
• Experience in developing acceptance criteria for pre-operational and startup tests
• Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory compliance documentation
