North Carolina Licensed Nurse Auditor

Job Summary

To enhance revenue integrity processes, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Nurse Auditor will conduct charge code audits remotely, collaborating with hospital departments to ensure compliance with clinical documentation and billing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of hospital charges and documentation to ensure compliance with quality of care and reimbursement regulations
• Educate and train operational areas on clinical documentation and charge-related improvements
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity leadership to identify charge issues and opportunities for process enhancements

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current North Carolina RN license
• At least two years of previous nursing experience
• Experience with ED charging/coding preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
