Job Summary
As a contract Child and Adolescent Nurse Practitioner, the North Carolina Licensed Nurse Practitioner will provide essential clinical care through virtual 30-minute video intake and follow-up appointments, conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medication for children, teens, and young adults in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Practice comprehensive mental health medication management through intake and follow-up appointments
- Conduct mental health risk assessments and psychiatric medication evaluations
- Construct patient-centered treatment plans and prescribe psychiatric medications
Required qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program or accredited PA program with relevant certification
- Unrestricted state license in North Carolina
- A minimum of 2 years in practice
- Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs with an active DEA license
- Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
