Job Summary
To support cancer patients through their care journey, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Oncology Nurse Navigator will manage treatment plans, facilitate transitions from inpatient to outpatient care, and provide education and resources, working in a hybrid environment that includes both remote and in-person responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate timely coordination of appointments, diagnostic testing, and procedures for oncology patients
- Provide individualized assistance and education to patients, families, and caregivers throughout the cancer care continuum
- Assess patients' health practices and compliance with treatment plans, documenting findings and coordinating care as necessary
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school, or an ADN with a commitment to obtain a BSN within specified timeframes
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
- OCN or ONN Certification required within three years of hire
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in oncology-related care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
