Job Summary
To support the development of clean nuclear energy, the remote contract North Carolina Licensed Piping Engineer will analyze nuclear safety-related piping, ensure compliance with industry standards, and prepare technical documentation while collaborating with global design teams.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and define pipe supports to meet nuclear industry standards and regulatory compliance
- Perform oversight activities, including review and acceptance of subcontracted designs
- Prepare technical documentation, such as design basis documents and ASME design reports
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
- At least four years of experience in pipe supports design and analysis
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section III (subsection NF) or ASME B31.1
- Proficiency in industry-standard piping analysis software
- Professional engineering certification (PE/EIT) is highly advantageous
