Job Summary
To support a growing outpatient behavioral health team, a full-time North Carolina Licensed Psychiatric NP/PA will provide compassionate psychiatric care remotely, with occasional onsite coverage on Fridays, focusing on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan.
Key responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing and managing psychiatric medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
- Current North Carolina NP/APRN or PA licensure
- DEA license and prescriptive authority
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
