Job Summary

To support a growing outpatient behavioral health team, a full-time North Carolina Licensed Psychiatric NP/PA will provide compassionate psychiatric care remotely, with occasional onsite coverage on Fridays, focusing on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing and managing psychiatric medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
• Current North Carolina NP/APRN or PA licensure
• DEA license and prescriptive authority
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
