North Carolina Licensed Real Estate Tax Advisor

Job Summary

To support a growing virtual CPA firm, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Real Estate Tax Advisor will focus on tax planning and advisory services for real estate investors, spending significant time in client meetings via Zoom while managing client relationships and delivering tailored tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact, dedicating up to 50% of time to client meetings via Zoom
• Create and deliver customized tax plans, updating them as needed to reflect client circumstances
• Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations, ensuring effective communication with clients throughout the tax preparation process

Required qualifications

• CPA or EA Certification (CPA preferred)
• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Tax from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5-7 years of real estate and small business tax compliance and/or planning experience
• Experience managing client relationships and ensuring engagement objectives are met accurately and on time
• Familiarity with tax projections and estimates using professional tax planning software
