North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Roadway Design Engineer to support and grow its Transportation Practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans and coordinate design activities

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
• PE preferred or the ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire
• 4+ years of progressive engineering experience in transportation and roadway design
• Experience working with DOT design projects required; experience with NCDOT or ODOT is a plus
• Micro Station, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) design software experience preferred
