North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer

Job Summary

To support and grow the Transportation Practice, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer will perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects, develop specifications and cost estimates, and mentor junior engineers, with opportunities for remote work available for candidates located in North Carolina.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 4+ years of progressive engineering experience in transportation and roadway design
• Experience working with DOT design projects, with NCDOT or ODOT experience preferred
• PE preferred or the ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire
• Experience with Micro Station, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) design software preferred
