Job Summary
Seeking a North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer, the full-time position will manage roadway design projects from preliminary to final design, develop specifications and cost estimates, and mentor junior engineers, with opportunities for remote work within North Carolina.
Key responsibilities
- Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects, including developing specifications and preparing final bid packages
- Establish working relationships with client technical staff and project managers, particularly in NCDOT and local governments
- Mentor junior engineers in creating final design plans and coordinate design activities among staff and clients
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- P.E. license required; North Carolina PE preferred, with expectation to obtain NC PE within the first year
- 10 to 20 years of progressive engineering experience in transportation and roadway design
