North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer

Job Summary

To support and grow the Transportation Practice, a full-time North Carolina Licensed Roadway Engineer will perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects, develop specifications and cost estimates, and mentor junior engineers, with the option to work remotely within North Carolina.

Key responsibilities

• Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans and coordinate design activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 4+ years of progressive engineering experience in transportation and roadway design
• Experience working with DOT design projects, with a preference for NCDOT or ODOT experience
• PE preferred or the ability to obtain PE within 1 year of hire
• Experience with Micro Station, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is preferred
