Job Summary
Leading complex accounting processes, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Senior Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, manage monthly and annual closing activities, and provide technical guidance to junior team members in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide technical accounting guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting within the insurance or financial services industry
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward CPA preferred
