Job Summary
To support the Veteran community, a full-time North Carolina Licensed Sleep Physician will manage comprehensive sleep disorders and related medical conditions, providing direct patient care remotely while adhering to a schedule of Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with occasional weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive sleep disorders and related medical conditions, performing patient evaluations and ordering appropriate tests
- Document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) and communicate with Veterans' providers regarding care coordination
- Complete mandatory suicide screenings and relevant questionnaires for new patients, ensuring compliance with national guidance
Required qualifications
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state or territory
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties
