North Carolina Licensed Sprinkler Designer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Sprinkler Designer will prepare detailed CAD drawings for sprinkler systems, interpret NFPA standards, and coordinate design processes remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and layout sprinkler systems using CAD software, performing hydraulic calculations and coordinating with building components
• Interpret applicable NFPA standards to ensure compliance based on building and hazard classifications
• Mentor team members in sprinkler design execution and assist sales with design estimates

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
• Working experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, or equivalent sprinkler design software
• Ability to interpret and apply NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout
• Proficient in hydraulic calculation programs and basic math, including geometry and algebra
