Job Summary
Leading the implementation of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, the full-time remote North Carolina Licensed Standards Specialist will develop and evaluate statewide initiatives, provide consultative leadership, and advance instructional practices to ensure equitable access to high-quality education for all students.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of statewide initiatives supporting the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
- Serve as the recognized subject matter expert in Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Tier I instructional improvement
- Provide strategic consultative leadership to strengthen instructional systems and district implementation capacity
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in the education field from an accredited institution
- Four years of specifically related experience in public education
- Expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and instructional systems coherence
- Experience in developing and disseminating educational resources and guidance
- Ability to analyze statewide data for program evaluation and policy recommendations
