North Carolina Licensed Substance Use Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substance Use Counselor - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions
• Plan, oversee, and document patient recovery and treatment plans
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, and provide crisis intervention as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services preferred
• Licensure or certification such as CADC-I, CADC, LCAS-A, LCAS, LCSW-A, LCSW, LCMHC-A, or LCMHC is required
• Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings is preferred
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and evidence-based practices
• Experience with documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
