Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Telehealth Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, prescribe and monitor medications, and create individualized treatment plans while working evenings or overnights remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders in an acute care setting
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring effective treatment plans are adjusted as needed
  • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff to provide integrated and coordinated care
Required qualifications
  • Active North Carolina medical license; additional state licenses preferred
  • 1 year of inpatient experience, with trauma experience required
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry within 1 year of residency completion
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA registration
  • Proficient in using telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
