Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth practice, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Telehealth Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, prescribe and monitor medications, and create individualized treatment plans while working evenings or overnights remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders in an acute care setting
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring effective treatment plans are adjusted as needed
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff to provide integrated and coordinated care
Required qualifications
- Active North Carolina medical license; additional state licenses preferred
- 1 year of inpatient experience, with trauma experience required
- Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry within 1 year of residency completion
- Valid and unrestricted DEA registration
- Proficient in using telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
