Job Summary
To support a growing telehealth initiative, the part-time North Carolina Licensed Telehealth Psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric assessments, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans for patients in an acute care setting during evening hours from 3pm to 11pm.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients in the Emergency Department
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and manage crisis situations effectively
Required qualifications:
- Active North Carolina medical license; additional licenses in Florida and Texas preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience, with trauma experience required
- Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry within one year of residency completion
- Valid and unrestricted DEA registration
- Proficiency in using telemedicine technologies for remote patient care
