North Carolina Licensed Training Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Foster Care Department, the full-time hybrid North Carolina Licensed Training Specialist will recruit, train, and license foster parents, providing pre-service training and ongoing compliance support while maintaining documentation and ensuring safe placements for children.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and train potential foster parents, guiding them through the licensing process and maintaining compliance with state and agency policies
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of potential foster parents, ensuring all licensing documentation is submitted accurately and timely
• Provide quarterly supervision and support to licensed foster parents, collaborating with the foster care coordinator to ensure successful placements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in social work or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Valid Driver's License and compliance with credentialing and licensing standards as a Qualified Professional in North Carolina
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and oral communication skills
• Successful completion of a drug screening test and an extensive background check
