Job Summary
To support the Foster Care Department, the full-time hybrid North Carolina Licensed Training Specialist will recruit, train, and license foster parents, providing pre-service training and ongoing compliance support while maintaining documentation and ensuring safe placements for children.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit and train potential foster parents, guiding them through the licensing process and maintaining compliance with state and agency policies
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of potential foster parents, ensuring all licensing documentation is submitted accurately and timely
- Provide quarterly supervision and support to licensed foster parents, collaborating with the foster care coordinator to ensure successful placements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in social work or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Valid Driver's License and compliance with credentialing and licensing standards as a Qualified Professional in North Carolina
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and oral communication skills
- Successful completion of a drug screening test and an extensive background check
