Job Summary
A company is looking for a Payroll Tax Specialist who will perform accounting and payroll tasks to support the Payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tax activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with tax regulations
- Analyze data to validate payroll outputs and assist with HR Management System data testing
- Support HR initiatives and maintain audit tools while managing tax and accounting information for projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of experience in Payroll and either Tax or Accounting
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with reconciling, journal entry, and balancing transactions
- Proficiency in payroll systems, with preference for Peoplesoft or UKG software experience
