Job Summary
Offering a flexible telehealth role, the contracted North Carolina PMHNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, establish care plans, and supervise peer support specialists while managing their own schedule and compensation based on services rendered.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initiating visits via telehealth to establish diagnoses and care plans for patients entering PIN-PS programs
- Document visits in the EHR within 48 hours to ensure compliance and billing standards
- Provide general supervision of certified peer support specialists delivering navigation services under your oversight
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted APRN/NP licensure in North Carolina or other specified states
- National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Ability to meet any state-specific collaboration or supervision requirements
- Active NPI and eligibility to enroll with Medicare and Medicaid
- Comfort with telehealth care for adults with serious behavioral health conditions
