Job Summary
To support a growing patient population, the full-time North Carolina Reimbursement Specialist will manage patient financial experiences by reviewing out-of-network appointments, coordinating clinical review processes, and providing call center support, all while working remotely from North Carolina.
Key responsibilities
- Review out-of-network patient appointments and coordinate Clinical Review Board processes for approvals and denials
- Provide call center support for patients and healthcare providers, enhancing the patient financial experience
- Conduct audits of workflows and staff performance, delivering training to improve overall departmental efficiency
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with post-secondary courses in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- Four years of related experience in healthcare; a Bachelor's degree can substitute for experience
- Proficiency in data analysis, billing/collections, and insurance claims management
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access
- Ability to analyze departmental performance indicators and recommend process improvements
