Job Summary
Focused on developing state-based research and partnerships, the full-time Senior Research Specialist/North Carolina State Lead will monitor political violence, produce Situation Reports, and engage with local coalitions to support resilience efforts across the state.
Key responsibilities
- Develop state-based research and analysis on political violence and its broader implications
- Build partnerships with stakeholders across various sectors to enhance monitoring and analysis support
- Engage in state-based coordination tables, providing timely briefings and support to key audiences
Required qualifications
- Significant state-specific knowledge and networks in North Carolina
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- 5-7+ years of experience in research, policy, or community engagement
- Research experience focused on U.S. political violence and early warning indicators
- Strong writing skills with experience in policy-focused documents
