North Carolina & South Carolina Commercial Reader

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Reader (NC & SC).

Key Responsibilities

• Read, review, and analyze abstracts to determine vesting information and identify any liens or encumbrances affecting property titles
• Review various legal documents to clear title, including Contracts, Deeds, Mortgages, and Court Records
• Examine Covenants & Restrictions and municipal searches, and complete curative requests for title issues

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Commercial Reader in North Carolina and South Carolina
• Strong knowledge of Title Insurance
• Familiarity with SoftPro Select is a plus
• High level of accountability and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
