Job Summary
A company is looking for an Eligibility Worker to provide customer support and determine eligibility for economic assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and support for clients regarding Economic Assistance programs
- Assess client needs and provide information and referrals to agency or community resources
- Determine eligibility and authorize state and federal program benefits, conducting interviews and analyzing information
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility Worker I: One year of experience determining eligibility for human services economic assistance programs or completion of a two-year eligibility worker associate degree program
- Eligibility Worker Technician: Completion of a one-year eligibility worker certificate program or 90 semester hours of a bachelor's degree
- High school diploma or GED with three years of relevant work experience in claims processing or related fields
- Combination of education and experience totaling three years in relevant fields may be considered
- Successful completion of FBI criminal history record check and fingerprinting is required
