North Dakota Eligibility Worker

Job Summary

Providing essential support to clients, the full-time remote North Dakota Eligibility Worker will serve as the first point of contact for citizens, addressing inquiries and determining eligibility for various Economic Assistance programs while maintaining a dedicated home office.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support regarding Economic Assistance programs to clients and community partners
• Assess client needs and provide information and referrals to appropriate agency or community resources
• Interpret and apply state and federal program policies while maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of the eligibility worker one-year certificate program, or 90 semester hours/135 quarter hours of a bachelor's degree program
• Three years of relevant work experience in claims processing, financial eligibility benefits, or related fields
• Experience determining eligibility for human service economic assistance programs is preferred
• Must reside within or be willing to relocate to the Dakota Central Human Service Zone service area
