Job Summary
North Dakota Licensed Special Assets Officer manages a complex portfolio of criticized, non-performing, and high-risk agricultural and commercial credit relationships in a full-time salaried position, developing strategies to minimize losses and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex agricultural and commercial workout situations, developing strategies to minimize losses and maximize recoveries
- Perform detailed financial and collateral analysis, preparing credit memorandums and workout strategies for leadership review
- Coordinate with legal counsel on recovery efforts and oversee collateral liquidation and management of assets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, agricultural economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of overall banking experience, including 5 years in special assets or credit workouts
- Strong knowledge of lending structures, collateral analysis, and regulatory expectations
- Experience with farm operations, agribusiness lending, and commercial collateral structures is preferred
- Ability to work independently in sensitive and challenging situations
