Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (Northeast).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Manage communication with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status
• Assist in training other mortgage positions and maintain current knowledge of products

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of government underwriting experience
• Valid CHUMS and/or LAPP/Sar designation for FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience with Jumbo and Non-QM loans is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input and interpretation
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
