Norwegian Language Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Norwegian Language Instructor to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional foreign language instruction in classroom and virtual environments, tailored to students' needs
• Utilize proficiency-oriented principles and culturally-based methods to enhance language acquisition and practical application
• Integrate diverse instructional technologies and authentic materials to create an immersive learning experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least two years of relevant experience in teaching adults using proficiency-oriented methods
• Four years of teaching experience may substitute for education; experience with educational technology is preferred
• Must be an educated native speaker of the target language with strong English skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles
• Oral Proficiency Interview scores of Level 3 or above in the target language and Level 2 or above in English
