Job Summary
Leading the development and licensing of emergency preparedness strategies, the remote NRC Emergency Planning Licensing Engineer will ensure compliance with NRC requirements while supporting advanced reactor deployment through risk-informed approaches and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interpretation and application of NRC emergency preparedness regulations and guidance
- Develop and document emergency planning strategies, including EPZ sizing and protective action recommendations
- Translate accident analysis and consequence modeling results into licensing-ready emergency preparedness justifications
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in nuclear licensing, emergency preparedness, or safety analysis
- Direct experience with NRC emergency preparedness requirements and licensing processes
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of accident analysis and radiological consequence assessment
- U.S. citizenship required; must meet export control requirements under 10 CFR 810
