Job Summary
Leading the modernization of nuclear power plants, the full-time salaried Nuclear Controls Engineer will manage and support controls projects, focusing on technical execution, project management, and coordination with various engineering disciplines.
Key responsibilities
- Develop digital systems design, including PLC, DCS, and HSI for nuclear plant control systems
- Prepare control system functional requirements and procurement specifications while interfacing with clients to ensure project execution
- Evaluate vendor bids and ensure equipment compliance, while preparing and reviewing technical documentation
Required qualifications
- A BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 10 or more years of experience in instrumentation and controls systems design for commercial or industrial applications
- Professional Engineering license is preferred
- Experience in serving as a client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
- Technically knowledgeable in available equipment and pre-engineered systems for effective systems design
