Job Summary

A company is looking for a Criticality Safety Engineer to support the implementation of a Nuclear Criticality Safety Program in a non-reactor nuclear facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate on Nuclear Criticality Safety evaluations
  • Conduct independent reviews and periodic assessments of fissionable material operations
  • Prepare and present technical reports, and conduct NCS training for employees


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, math, or science with 1-2 years of NCS experience, or 7 years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience in Approach to Critical is preferred
  • DOE-specific experience is highly preferred
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a DOE Q security clearance
  • Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered
