Nuclear Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Design/Reload Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform core design and analysis for advanced nuclear reactors, including optimization of fuel management and reactivity coefficients
• Design and analyze new systems to solve complex nuclear-related problems and execute sensitivity studies
• Establish and maintain documentation of analysis results and neutronic design solutions

Key Qualifications and Skills

• B.S. in Nuclear Engineering with 5-20 years of experience, or M.S. with 3-15 years, or Ph.D. with 2-10 years
• Experience with commercial reactor reload analysis and core design and analysis
• Strong computational expertise in nuclear engineering and familiarity with relevant software
• Experience in transient analysis, thermal hydraulics, and fuel performance is desired
• Experience working in NQA-1 environments is preferred
