Nuclear Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Design/Reload Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform core design and analysis for advanced nuclear reactors, including fuel management optimization and reactivity coefficients
• Design and analyze new systems to solve complex nuclear-related problems and execute sensitivity studies
• Establish and maintain documentation of analysis results and neutronic design solutions

Required Qualifications and Education

• B.S. in Nuclear Engineering with 5-20 years of experience, or M.S. with 3-15 years, or Ph.D. with 2-10 years
• Experience with commercial reactor reload analysis
• Strong knowledge of nuclear reactor design concepts and core design and analysis
• Familiarity with nuclear engineering software such as DIF3D, MCNP, and SCALE
• Experience in transient analysis, thermal hydraulics, and fuel performance is desired
