Nuclear Design Engineer

Job Summary

Nuclear Design Engineer, responsible for the design of nuclear fuel handling systems and sub-systems in a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design nuclear fuel handling systems from requirements through final design
• Coordinate the review of various analyses and integrate results into plant design delivery
• Provide technical direction and oversight for supplier projects and maintain system specifications

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of direct experience with mechanical systems, particularly in nuclear fuel handling
• Experience with high-temperature and multi-discipline integration is highly desired
• Previous experience with nuclear reactors or similar high-performance system design
• Experience with ASME Section III and quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
