Nuclear Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nuclear Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of radiation detection systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and document issues related to radiation sensors
• Develop prototype radiation sensors based on customer input and latest technologies
• Assist in project management tasks and provide training on system operations and sustainment

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in nuclear engineering from an accredited university
• 2+ years of related nuclear engineering experience beyond graduate school
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulation codes and gamma-ray spectroscopy
• In-depth understanding of radiation detection techniques
• Experience with handling ionizing radiation sources and relevant equipment
